| Social Impact & Special Achievements | Producers are well informed about Fairtrade requirements and benefits. The NGO which supports the project has conducted capacity building workshops about social criteria and working conditions of temporary workers and family members on small farms as well as about participation, rights, and empowerment in the relations between producers and management of associations. The production is organic certified and although herbs are not the main crops to sustain the families they contribute an important part especially to the income of women and thus strengthens the position of women and their ability to support community development. | |||||||
