| Social Impact |
| Social Impact & Special Achievements | The income generated by the olive oil sales is very important to the society since (due to the political situation) it often is the only source of income for the farmers. In this context it is clear that the additional income generated by the organic and fair trade premium is very important to the producers. The project setting is very innovative and farmers’ representation in all business activities is exceptionally high. This project is a very well working mixture between the advantages of contract production and a genuine smallholder farmers organisation. | |||||||
| Use of FairTrade Premium | FairTrade Premium use is divided into an add-on to farmers’ income and social activities financed by the Palestine Fair Trade Association (1% of the 5-10% Premium) and the village cooperatives (1% of the 5-10% Premium). | |||||||
