Social Impact & Special AchievementsThe processing work is done in small farmers cooperatives, thus the value addition of processing is given to the farmers communities. Canaan Fair Trade is promoting employment for both sexes by creating opportuinites for both men and women to work in (separated) work places. Canaan Fair Trade promotes product diversification.
Use of FairTrade PremiumFairTrade Premium use is divided into an add-on to farmers’ income and social activities financed by the Palestine Fair Trade Association (1% of the 5-10% Premium) and the village cooperatives (1% of the 5-10% Premium).
