| Social Impact & Special Achievements | | | Biolands International Ltd. is a complex and fairly large operation that links more than 20,000 farmers and their families in a cocoa production system that, from the very beginning, had a distinct perspective of improving the livelihoods of the farmers and their families in the region. Establishing a FairTrade system in such a complex operation has been and still is a considerable challenge, but Biolands has demonstrated its devotion to continuously improve both prices paid to farmers for organic (and now FairTrade) cocoa and improve the working conditions of the workers. | ||||
