| Social Impact & Special Achievements | | | Interrupcion fairtrade* is working with this large olive oil supplier as the company has proven to be committed to sustainable development. The FairTrade target group is clearly the permanent as well as temporary agricultural and factory workforce. In particular seasonal harvest workers are a marginalized social group in Argentina, with workers commonly being employed illegally and well below minimum legal requirements. Olivos Argentinos S.A. provides all workers, temporary as well as permanent ones, with good working conditions as required by national law and all labour rights are ensured. Unions are present in the farms as well as the oil factory, and employment conditions are regulated in collective bargaining agreements. The company is motivated and interested to work with interrupcion fairtrade* on further continuous improvement of its employment conditions and social improvements for its workers. The expected FairTrade Premium is adminstered by Associacion Civil interrupcion* at this initial stage and will be fully used for social proejcts for the benefit of all workers as decided by the workers assembly. | ||||
